This coin is to honour, I suppose is the appropriate word as commemorate makes no sense, the coat of arms of the Grand Duke Henri.

The motif shows the Henri looking to the right. Next to him is the coat of arms.

At three o’clock, crossing from the inner circle to the outer ring, is the year of issue preceded and followed by the mark of the mint director and the mint mark respectively.

At the bottom is the country designation in the local language “LËTZEBUERG”.
