This is the second coin of a new five-part series "Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions".

The region featured in this coin is Upper Lithuania. A distinctive dialect of Lithuanian - East Akshtaite  - is spoken in Upper Lithuania.

The motif of the coin is the coat of arms of Aukštaitija. This coat of arms was created by the designer of the coin and was declared the coat of arms of Aukštaitija in 2006 by the Council for Safeguarding Ethnic Culture.

Approximately in the middle of the Inner Circle is a shield within which is a knight in armour, wieldening a sword. The knight bears the appropriate name "Vytis" (the avenger).

The shield is held by two angels and under the angels and shield is the Latin inscription “PATRIAM TUAM MUNDUM EXISTIMA” (Think of your country as the whole world).

Within the inner circle under twelve o'clock we see the name of the issuing country and thereunder the year of issue. "LIETUVA  2020"

Arond the bottom of the inner circle, running from seven to five o'clock is the inscription "AUKŠTAITIJA" and immediately is the mint mark "LMK".
